Private Label T-Shirt Manufacturing Checklist: What to Send a Factory

Before contacting a private label T-shirt manufacturer, prepare your design, fabric idea, size chart, labels, packaging, MOQ, and target price.

Private label T-shirt manufacturing means producing garments under your own brand name. The factory makes the product, but the label, packaging, and brand identity belong to you.

Before contacting a factory, prepare the basics. This saves time and helps you get a more accurate quotation.

Product Idea

First, prepare your product idea. Is it a regular T-shirt, oversized T-shirt, gymwear T-shirt, polo, hoodie, or activewear top? Each style needs different fabric and construction details.

Fabric Direction

Second, decide the fabric direction. You do not need to know everything technically, but you should have an idea: cotton, polyester, polycotton, spandex blend, heavy GSM, lightweight fabric, or performance fabric.

Design Details

Third, prepare your design. If you have print, embroidery, heat transfer, or logo placement, show it clearly. Include print size, color, artwork file, and placement if available.

Private Label Requirements

Fourth, prepare private label details. This may include neck label, woven label, care label, size label, hangtag, barcode sticker, polybag, and custom packaging.

Size Information

Fifth, prepare size information. A size chart, reference sample, or even a competitor product can help the factory understand fit.

MOQ and Budget

Sixth, think about MOQ and budget. Factories cannot quote properly without quantity. A 100-piece order and a 1,000-piece order are different production situations. At Brandex Sourcing, we help startup and growing clothing brands turn these details into a practical private label production plan for T-shirts, activewear, hoodies, and custom garments. The more clearly you prepare before contacting a factory, the faster and more accurate the process becomes. Private label manufacturing works best when brand vision and factory execution are aligned from the beginning.
